Dependency Ratio
Image 1 A ratio indicating the number of dependents to the total population aged 15-64 to the number of dependents being population aged 0-14 and over the age of 65. The total dependency ratio is calculated by the (number of dependents/population aged 15-64) x 100%.
Image 2 The "Young Dependency" only uses those under 15, and the "Elderly Dependency" uses those over 64. The ratio above is referred to as the "Total Dependency Ratio".
