A futures contract on a stock or financial index such as the S&P
500. Each index can have a different multiple for determining the
price of the future.

is considered very risky. For example 1 futures contract on the NASDAQ
would cost the price of the index(say 4000) times 10...so $40,000
for 1 contract. The S&P is 50 times. |
