income from the fund is distributed to the fund’s beneficiaries according
to their share of the fund. You, or other income recipients you choose,

For
example say you own stock with a value of $50,000. Then you donate
the stock to the pooled income fund to eventually fund scholarships
for underprivileged students and reserve an income interest for life
for yourself. You do not recognize capital gain. Furthermore, since
the stock paid no dividends to you, it increases your income. Finally,
you would get an income tax deduction of $19,038. |
