| Style
Drift |
 |
The tendency of a broker or investment manager offering a particular
investment style to change in style over time.
|
 |
This
occurs for any number of reasons including the manager responding
to changing investment trends or not responding to changes in style
of holdings.
A good example of this is the recent dot-com boom. Many managers found
room to justify tech stocks in their portfolio because everybody was
buying them. |
